Advance ticket sales for the 2022 Hamburg European Open will start on Friday
Act fast if you’re still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a tennis fan! Advance ticket sales for the Hamburg European Open 2022 begin on November 26 (tomorrow) at 1pm. Center Court tickets for the main draw are available from 36 euros including a 10 percent early bird discount via the online ticket store (https://www.ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/hamburg-open/en). The clay court classic will be held as a combined event for the first time since 1978! This means that from July 16 to 24, 2022, the men and women will play at the Rothenbaum at the same time – making it the only event of its kind in Germany! The early bird discount for the tournament days from July 16 to 21 is valid until December 17. There’s also a 10 percent discount for all ticket buyers in the Hamburg European Open fan store.
Tournament ambassador Andrea Petkovic couldn’t be more excited about having that Grand Slam feeling in Hamburg. “Everyone hoped in the tournament community that we would be able to pull off this combined event, which is why I’m especially thrilled that we did. I think it’s important for tennis in Germany that there’s a tournament where you see women AND men competing side by side. It’s a real boost to our tennis tournament scene,” Petkovic stressed. She announced her own participation early on: “After all, I do have to defend my runner-up title,” she said with a wink. The 34-year-old lost to Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the final of the WTA 250 tournament this summer, when the women returned to Rothenbaum after a 19-year absence and competed a week before the men. In the men’s ATP 500 tournament, the Spaniard Pablo Carreño Busta triumphed.
As a special ticket offer this year, “Weekend Tickets” will be on sale. Starting at 160 euros, you can experience the women’s final and the men’s semifinals on Saturday and the men’s final on Sunday live during the finals weekend (July 23/24). Plus, the all-time favorite “season ticket” (July 18-24) returns in categories 1 and 2. For the qualifying Saturday (July 16), tickets are available for Center Court starting at 20 euros.
And don’t forget the various promotional days: For “ARRIBA Family Day” on Sunday, July 17, all children and adolescents up to the age of 16 are admitted free of charge. While “Kids’ Day,” Monday, July 18, offers children and adolescents up to the age of 16 the chance to visit Center Court free of charge, 17- to 26-year-olds can take advantage of a 50 percent discount. On July 18, seniors 65 and older are also eligible for a 25 percent discount. On Tuesday, July 19, women enjoy a 15 percent discount on tickets on “Ladies‘ Day.” On Thursday, July 20, it’s the men’s turn to save 15 percent on “Gentlemen’s Day.”
As a general rule on all tournament days: Wheelchair users are admitted free of charge, as is their companion. Severely disabled persons with a degree of disability (GdB) of 50 or more are granted a 50 percent discount. Pupils, trainees, and students up to 25 years of age receive a discount of 25 percent.
