The supporting programme of the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open 2025 not only offers a lot of variety on the court, but also sets special accents in the area of promoting young talent! At the WTA tournament at Rothenbaum, fans can expect an event for the whole family with an exciting mix of tennis, varied events and hands-on activities off the court.
The focus is on the youngest tennis fans and the next generation of athletes. One highlight is the school event, in which Hamburg school classes from the fifth grade onwards are invited to a very special school day. The pupils can expect exclusive programme items such as school press conferences
This year, MatchMaker Sports GmbH has once again called on tennis-loving kids, youth coaches and parents to apply for the "Children for Champions" fan block project, to loudly support their favourite player and experience top tennis at Hamburg's Rothenbaum. The European Summer Cup is a sporting highlight on the pitch. From 17 to 19 July 2025, eight European nations from the Junior U16 age group will meet to secure one of the coveted starting places for the European finals in Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic). The German team would love to capitalise on their home advantage!
The youngest tennis cracks won't miss out either: on the final weekend, 19 and 20 July, the Mini Cup Series North 2025 presented by MSC will stop off at Rothenbaum. Young talents in the U7, U8, U9 and U10 age groups will be offered a unique stage to show off their skills in the shadow of the large centre court.
On Friday, 18 July, the tournament will become a stage for inclusive sport. Together with the Alexander Otto Sports Foundation, disabled sports teams from Hamburg clubs and the applicants for the Werner Otto Prize will be invited to visit the facility and enjoy a very special experience on "ECE Day".
The joint event "VOICES ON COURT - THE HAMBURG EDITION" will bring together prominent voices from the worlds of sport, business, media and politics at Hamburg's Rothenbaum on Saturday, 19 July. In co-operation between the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open and the Hamburg Sports Summit, a platform for exchange, inspiration and networking will be created on the semi-final day of the WTA 250 tournament.
Before the grand final of the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open takes place on Sunday, 20 July, fans can look forward to a special exhibition match: former world number two and Hamburg native Tommy Haas will face 2020 US Open winner Dominic Thiem from 12 noon. If that isn't the comeback of the year at Hamburg's Rothenbaum!
One week earlier, on Sunday 13 July, the public draw for the main draw will take place directly at the Rothenbaum at 1 pm - the official starting signal for a tournament that will focus more than ever on young talent, family and enthusiasm for tennis in 2025.
