That was the 1st Hamburg Wheelchair Open:<\/strong> Running parallel to the final weekend of the professional women's tennis tournament at the Am Rothenbaum tennis stadium in Hamburg, the Hamburg Wheelchair Open, an international women's wheelchair tennis tournament, celebrated its premiere from 23 to 26 July 2026.<\/p>

The winner comes from the Netherlands and is called Lizzy de Greef. The 22-year-old clearly dominated the final on the Centre Court at Rothenbaum against her top-seeded compatriot Aniek van Koot, winning the title at the largest German women's wheelchair tennis tournament, which belongs to the Premier Tour category, with a 6:2, 6:2 victory.<\/p>

\u201eI am proud of what we have achieved here as a team! There has been so much appreciation from the female players for our dedication and the initiative to open this new chapter for an inclusive WTA and wheelchair event in Hamburg. My motivation is high to continue this in the coming years,\u201c summarised Niklas H\u00f6fken, Sports Director of the Hamburg Wheelchair Open.<\/strong><\/p>

Lizzy de Greef achieved a double in the process. Following her victory in the singles, she also claimed the doubles title at the Hamburg Wheelchair Open, winning alongside her compatriot Jinte Bos against Ksenia Chasteau (France) and Lucy Shuker (Great Britain) 6:1 and 6:4.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
