Dunlop is official ball of the 2021 Hamburg European Open

Dunlop will once again be the official ball of the 2021 Hamburg European Open. In addition, the long-standing company with German headquarters in Hanau will remain the stringing partner of Germany’s most prestigious tennis tournament, which takes place from July 7 to 18.

“Dunlop and the Hamburg European Open are a great fit. With its balls and its racquets, Dunlop has a tradition that is as rich as that of the Rothenbaum tournament. But we also share a common philosophy – we don’t look back or rest on our laurels, but constantly strive to get better,” said tournament director Sandra Reichel on Thursday. “I’m thrilled that Dunlop was quick to extend the partnership to our new women’s tournament.”

Frank Binder, Dunlop’s Marketing Manager Europe, remarked: “We’re excited to be the official match ball of the 2021 Hamburg European Open at Rothenbaum, an exceptional tennis event with a long tradition. The women’s and men’s tournament, which will take place back-to-back, will further increase the appeal for spectators and boost Germany as a tournament location. Dunlop is not only the number one ball on the ATP Tour, but is also used in many WTA tournaments.”

The “Dunlop ATP Ball” played in the men’s ATP 500 Series event offers the highest standard of quality for all conditions and surfaces. The women’s tournament in the WTA 250 category will feature the “Dunlop Fort Clay Court,” which was specially developed for clay. Dubbed the “No. 1 Ball on Tour,” Dunlop will also be played at the Nitto ATP Finals and the NextGen ATP Finals.

At the Hamburg European Open tournament site, Dunlop will present its new 2021 tennis products next to its stringing booth. Besides Dunlop tennis balls and jumbo balls, the spotlight will be on the new premium racket series Dunlop Powered by Srixon CX, SX and FX, which will be available at selected sports retailers and also offered to visitors on site.

Advance ticket sales for the clay court classic at Rothenbaum began on June 23. Tickets are available through the online ticket shop on the tournament homepage www.hamburg-open.com and via the hotline (01806 991175, Monday to Saturday: 8am to 6pm, Sunday: 10am to 4pm). The 2021 Hamburg European Open will kick off on July 7 with the women’s tournament. During the women’s final weekend (July 10-11), the men’s qualification will be held concurrently. The main draw matches of the ATP tournament will start on July 12.
